UNCLE THOMAS, ACCOUNTING FOR THE DAYS by Regina Pessoa

Motivation: We are giving this award to a film with a very strong visual but also full of rich subtle details, where the incisive technique is found in a constant evolution inside the author’s body of work. The author transforms memories into a poetical story. In Conversano you can find a castle and now we crown a Regina!
Special Mention
PER TUTTA LA VITA by Roberto Catani
(5’20 , Italy/France , 2018)

Motivation: This special mention goes to a film where the poetical lightness is accompanied by the grace of a personal and unique graphical style.
Best Student Animated Short Film
SWEET SWEAT by Jung Hyun Kim

Motivation: The award goes to a student work where you are surprised by the original and mature technique. It is a story about a boy who encounters the first time a glimpse of deeper intimacy between parents.

Motivation: The film we choose uses massive characters to create a world of smooth movements where color, composition and movement are beautifully combined.
