LOVING VINCENT
by Dorota Kobiela, Hugh Welchman
(Gran Bretagna, Polonia, 2016, 95′)
In France in 1891, the young Armand Roulin received from his postman father the task of delivering a letter to Theo van Gogh, brother of the Dutch painter who recently took his own life. Armand goes to Paris, where he can not trace Theo; He therefore undertook a research that led him to meet people and places that were fundamental in the life of Vincent van Gogh, discovering little by little his tormented life and the extraordinary work he was able to produce.
This is the first film entirely painted on canvas, reworking over a thousand paintings for a total of more than 65,000 frames made by 125 artists from various parts of the world.
ANONIMO FRASTUONO
“Anonymous Frastuono. Imagining the landscape “is a two-day multimedia festival held within the Imaginaria festival, which offers projections, performances and discussions on the theme of the landscape, linking different languages.
Drawing on the phrase “anonymous frastuono” introduced by Calvino in his Marcovaldo (text that indicates with unspeakable narrative expertise the relationship between soundscape and city and between soundscape and writing) we want to propose a reflection on contemporaneity, on new and old languages in relation to the landscape (urban and otherwise) where signs and signifiers can give a key to understanding and listening to the territory.
