Based on three short stories by Arnost Goldflam, the film tells the story of three siblings. One day, at their grandparents’ house, nothing is as usual: their grandfather is absent-minded, their grandmother is missing, and everything seems to be going wrong. So it’s up to one of the three to improvise as a storyteller to fill the void. Victor Costa’s gang, and discovers that Claudine, his trusted babysitter, is also a member.
David SÚKUP
David Súkup is a Czech director whose early works, LIGHT (2001) and THE MECHANICS (2003), were both selected for the Cannes Cinéfondation. In 2011, he created the stop-motion story REASON AND LUCK for the animated feature FIMFÁRUM THIRD TIME LUCKY. His filmography also includes directing BAJAJA (2010), POHÁDKY PRO EMA (FAIRY TALES FOR EMA) (2013), and co-directing FIMFÁRUM: ANIMAČNÍ POHÁDKY (2015) and FIMFÁRUM II (2019). Most recently, he directed STŘEPY (SHARDS) (2021).
Patrik PAŠŠ
Patrik Pašš, born in Bratislava in 1974, holds a Master’s degree in Animated Film Directing from FAMU in Prague and a PhD in Animation from the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. He is an acclaimed director, screenwriter, animator, and illustrator, known for numerous animated short films and over 20 animated music videos. He wrote the first Slovak graphic novel, THREE. NOT FOUR, NOT FIVE, and co-directed successful films such as THE LAST BUS (2012), which won the Stuttgart Grand Prix in 2012. His most recent directorial work also includes TWINS (2016).
Leon VIDMAR
Leon Vidmar is a director and animator. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana with the animated short film (IN)TOLERANCE (2010), which premiered at Animateka. His professional debut, the animated short film FAREWELL (2016), screened at over 80 film festivals, including the Annecy International Film Festival, and won seven awards. As an animator, he collaborates with established artists such as Špela Čadež (for whom he was an animator on BOLES (2013) and ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK – THE UNRAVELLED RECAP (2017)), Ana Nedeljković, Nikola Majdak Jr. (for whom he was an animator on MONEY AND HAPPINESS (2022)), and Ahmad Saleh (for whom he was an animator on NIGHT (2021)). He is currently producing the short film DUST CATCHERS.
Jean-Claude ROZEC
Jean-Claude Rozec began exploring animation at the Université Rennes 2 through workshops. He self-produced his first films and then worked as a storyboard artist and animator for TV series. Since 2009, he has directed four award-winning short films, including the Oscar-shortlisted CUL DE BOUTEILLE (2014) and LA MAISON DE POUSSIÈRE (THE HOUSE OF DUST) (2015), both produced by Vivement Lundi!. His latest short film, TÉTARD (TADPOLE) (2019), won the FIPRESCI Award at the 2019 Annecy Animation Film Festival. Previously, he also directed MONSTRE SACRÉ (2010). Most recently, he worked as lead animator on the French animated series IDEFIX.
