On a small islet of the Chiloé archipelago, a shellfish fisherman lives alone in a house suspended over the sea. Time seems to stand still amidst objects, gestures, and memories that quietly inhabit the space. While his children have gone their own ways, he remains by the ocean, sustained by memory and the intimate conviction of having fulfilled his role as a father. In that silence, he begins preparing for a final journey.

Jaime Freire Valenzuela (Chilean/Canadian) is an audiovisual director whose career spans television and independent cinema. He has directed over 200 hours of programming for major Chilean networks. In recent years, he turned toward handcrafted animation as a more intimate and personal form of expression. He is the recipient of four consecutive grants from the National Audiovisual Fund of Chile (2023–2026), supporting the development of a stop-motion trilogy. Work Done marks his debut as an animated film director.
