We all knew the situation was dire, the planets aligned overhead like a firing squad, and this empty silence pervading our town, cut off from the other mountain villages by a power outage. Michele Bernardi Director
Michele Bernardi
Born in 1958, he is a director and animator. He has worked at Studio Secondo Bignardi and GLM (projects include Altan’s Pimpa). He has received numerous awards and recognitions, including Bit Movie (Riccione), Jazz Bit di Turku (1994) (Finland), and the Foreign Animation Silver Award at the 13th Shanghai Television Film Festival (2006). He was a finalist at the Nastri d’Argento Awards and a semifinalist at the David di Donatello Awards.
Since 2019, he has taught digital animation at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo and since 2022 at the Academy of Fine Arts in L’Aquila.
His works include commercials for Barilla Mulino Bianco, Nestlé, Istat, and Pomellato; music videos for Tre allegri ragazzi morti, Le luci della centrale Elettrica, Colapesce, Punkreas, Prozac+, The Zen Circus, Extraliscio, Gianna Nannini, Eduardo De Crescenzo, and others.
