Sophie accompanies visitors into the exclusion zone around the Golfech nuclear power plant in southern France. Years after the disaster, she equips tourists with protective suits and guides them on gyropods through irradiated land where decontamination teams are still at work.
Anne-Sophie Girault
Author and director of short films, sound art, and illustrated notebooks. She studied at the École des Métiers du Cinéma d’Animation (EMCA) in Angoulême, then earned a master’s degree in documentary writing and directing at Creadoc, with a first year dedicated to radio creation. She loves telling stories, moving between fiction and documentary, and exploring hybrid genres that play with the boundary between fact and fiction.
