Dino the cat leads a double life. By day he lives with little Zoé, the only daughter of Jeanne, a police captain. By night he roams the rooftops of Paris with Nico, a skilled and good-hearted thief. Zoé has stopped speaking since her father — also a police officer, like her mother Jeanne — was killed by notorious criminal Victor Costa. Jeanne is entirely devoted to her work and spends little time with her daughter: she is busy organising the surveillance of the Colossus of Nairobi, a precious statue targeted by Victor Costa. Dino often brings Zoé gifts from his nightly wanderings: one day he brings her a bracelet that Jeanne’s assistant Lucas recognises as part of the loot from a robbery. A few evenings later, Zoé decides to secretly follow her cat — and finds herself stumbling upon Victor Costa’s gang, discovering that Claudine, her trusted babysitter, is a member of the band.

Alain Gagnol & Jean-Loup Felicioli

Alain Gagnol, born in 1967, studied animation at the Emile Cohl school in Lyon before joining Folimage in 1988.

Jean-Loup Felicioli, born in 1960, studied at the Schools of Fine Arts in Annecy, Strasbourg, Perpignan and Valence. He has worked as an animator at Folimage studio since 1987.

They have collaborated together for more than twenty years, writing and directing over fifteen short films. Their first feature film, A Cat in Paris (2010), was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. They went on to direct two further features: Phantom Boy (2013) and Nina and the Hedgehog’s Secret (2022).
