The Phoenix is a 2D animated music video set in a dystopian paradise where angels rebel against oppression. In a city of brutalist towers and masked agents, a lone hero joins a growing revolution. Symbols of resistance spread through the streets, protests break out, and flames ignite as angels confront their golden-gated rulers. The film unfolds like a dream of resistance — where the gates of paradise are broken open and hope takes shape in a new world.
Mary Yanko, Marlène Ciampossin
Mary Yanko is an Ukrainian animated filmmaker born in 1999 in Kyiv. She studied painting at the Kyiv Academy of Fine Arts before training in animated film direction at Gobelins in Paris. Marlène Ciampossin is a French animation director, a graduate of the École Européenne Supérieure de l'Image in Angoulême and La Poudrière.
