Palmares 2025

The international jury composed of Marino Guarnieri, Fabienne Wagenaar, Margherita Giusti, Maria Anestopoulou, Yiorgos Tsangaris has decreed the following winners and the following special mentions:

MAIN COMPETITION
Best International Short Film

LONG DISTANCE by Iulia Voitova | Oscar®️ qualifying short film
“For having told how the infinite sidereal distances can harbor the most human of emotions, just like the darkest abyssal depths. With the power of colors and brushstrokes rich in texture and contrast, the protagonists’ feelings are understood profoundly and clearly, just like the simple yet incisive signs, just like their stories.
Because sometimes the most difficult distances to bridge can be bridged thanks to some of the most difficult emotions to describe.”

Special mentions:
To the woods  by Agnès Patron, La vie avec un idiot by Theodor Ushev, Percebes by Alexandra Ramires and Laura Gonçalves.

Graduation Short Film Competition
Best Graduation Short Film

NÈ UNA NÈ DUE  by Lucia Catalini
“For the ability to tell a story across time, poetically reawakening the viewer’s emotional memory, stimulating all the senses: the material sounds and musical notes, along with the drawing, painting, and animation techniques employed, transcend the screen and allow us to experience the tactile sensations of fabric and paper, the true protagonists of the work.
Present and past drift apart and delicately reunite in a circle that tightens around our soul.”

Special Mentions:
Poppy Flower
by Evridiki Papaiakovou, C’era la luna! by Simone Caramazza, Detlev by Ferdinand Ehrhardt.

Animated Music Video Competition
Best Animated Music Video

STRANIERO RMX by Davide Vicari and Dario Imbrogno
“For its excellent use of the language of animation, blending aesthetics and techniques from different times and cultures, perfectly aligned with the theme conveyed in the song.
Without being didactic, the video manages to make us understand how “diversity is a richness,” through a visual language that perfectly illustrates a timeless theme.”

Special Mentions:
Sabana y Banano by Juliette Laboria, Mediterranee by Clément Soulmagnon
