Echoes is a contemplative adventure into the depths of a noisy world. Guided by a distant melody echoing through concrete and rock, we follow a character wandering in the dark.
Strange places take shape in the glow of his torchlight, and the sound of water droplets on the ground punctuates our footsteps. In the distance, we hear muffled music, where does it come from?

Born in Paris in 1996, from an early age, Robinsons Drossos was interested in drawing and the visual arts in general. At the same time, he developed a love of music and, in particular, composition, first on the piano, then later on other instruments. Always faced with a dilemma between his two practices, it was when he arrived at the École des Arts Décoratifs de Paris in 2017 that he turned to animated film with the aim of combining his passions.
He began a research project based on the relationship between sound and movement, while immersing himself in various Parisian underground circles that inspired and nourished his practice. For his diploma project, he made his first film, Echoes, a 7-minute short in traditional paper animation, for which he also composed the music and produced the sound design. Completed in January 2024, the film is a concentrate of what he’s passionate about, both in terms of the techniques used and the themes addressed.
