Carla has had enough. Nobody cares about her talent as a gymnast; everyone only cares about the fact that she has no legs. Instead of getting her own acrobatic act in a variety show, she is only offered a temporary job backstage. Then, in a moment of desperation, the show manager pressures Carla to perform. Is this truly the big moment she has always wanted?
Christoph Büttner
Christoph Büttner was born in 1986 in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany. He graduated in Animation from the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF. As an animator and filmmaker, he creates digital short films with a strong analog aesthetic. His debut Carla and her Legs, like his graduation film In His Mercy (2021), is reminiscent of black-and-white woodcuts.
