An elderly photographer examines a series of photographs, trying to reconnect the broken thread of memory with the people depicted in them — who they were, how they lived, where they are now. A quiet requiem for a bygone era and those who embodied it — a reflection on the futility of trying to preserve people in memory exactly as they truly were.
