Maicol & Mirco, pseudonym of Michael Rocchetti known as Maicol, is an Italian cartoonist and illustrator.

Author of numerous short stories and graphic novels, he was part of the Super Amici collective (with Ratigher, Tuono Pettinato, Doctor Pira and LRNZ), later called Fratelli del Cielo, and acquired great notoriety on the web with Gli scabocchi di Maicol & Mirco, irreverent and caustic vignettes on a red background.

Gli Scarabocchi by Maicol & Mirco, a daily comic tragedy that from Facebook has evolved into the paper Opera Omnia (currently of five volumes: ARGH, SOB, BAH, CRACK, NO!). They gave a family to God with their Il papa di Dio (2017) and delighted the children with Red Ball and Blue Ball (2016) and Red Ball and Blue Ball Roll Again (2019), all books published by BAO Publishing.

For Coconino Press – Fandango has created the first true pink comic in the world: Hanchi Pinchi and Panchi (2009), Gli Arcanoidi (2018) and L’Arcanoide (2019), two “monstrous” twin books. Maicol & Mirco also follow you to school, inside Smemoranda.

He teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts in Macerata and one of his / their self-portraits is in the collection of self-portraits of the Uffizi.
