Gianluigi Toccafondo
Gianluigi Toccafondo was born in San Marino in 1965. He graduated from the Urbino School of Fine Arts. In his work he sets painting in motion through a technique that established him in the 1990s as one of the leading directors of animated cinema: distortion of pre-existing images through photocopying, and reworking with many other media. He worked as assistant director for Matteo Garrone’s Gomorrah in 2008, he made the credits for Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood in 2010 and exhibited his works all around the world.
