Quasirosso, born Giovanni Esposito, is a Neapolitan illustrator and cartoonist. Born in 1992, he began to draw on his own. He studied Graphic Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples for some time before abandoning it and continuing to study illustration following different masters.
At the end of 2017 he creates a Facebook page on which he publishes illustrations and short comic stories that spontaneously tell his daily discomforts. The success was immediate and a year later the first book with the same title came out, which collects the best of the production and other unpublished works. Today he works as an illustrator for various Italian and foreign publishing houses.
The same variety of sentiments can also be found in Giovanni’s illustrations. A range of emotions ranging from dramatic to humorous, from sensuality to fragility, embodied by predominantly female characters caught in moments of solitude or intimacy. Snapshots that recall the shots of a film whose soundtrack we can almost perceive, given that music is one of its main sources of inspiration. In 2018 he created the poster of the 12th edition of the Le Strade del Paesaggio Festival. In the same year, his debut work, Quasirosso, was published by Shockdom. In September 2021 his second comic entitled SEITU was released, published by Feltrinelli comics.
