She graduated from the Art Institute of Florence. In 1984 she drew her first cartoon Lucidi folli (1986), followed by Congiuntivo futuro (1988), Amore asimmetrico (1990) and Come persone (1995), all drawn in black and white. Her first color film, Quasi niente, came in 1997, followed by Cinque stanze (1999) and La partita (2002), presented in Turin in 2002 and winner of the Kodak Award for best Italian short film. All the films have participated, among others, in the festivals of Annecy, Tampere, Cannes, Espinho, Turin, Zagreb, Cardiff, São Paulo, Toronto, London, Edinburgh, Roma-Sacher and Berlin.
