Welcome to our new animation festivals network!
FAN – Festivals Animation Network is dedicated to fostering a collaborative model among its partner festivals, with the primary goals of diversifying, cultivating new audiences, and dynamically promoting Southern European animation cinema on a global scale. The network champions auteur animation, with a special focus on highlighting emerging talent. Its initiatives include diversifying and expanding audiences, producing films in schools and other community settings, and encouraging analysis, study, and reflection through debates, idea-sharing, and training exchanges in the field of animation cinema
Under the guiding theme of “To Watch to Expand,” this network unites five partner festivals CINANIMA (Espinho, Portugal), Animafest Cyprus (Salamiou, Cyprus), ANIMASYROS International Animation Festival (Syros, Greece), Imaginaria – animated film festival (Conversano, Italy), and Prime The Animation (Valencia, Spain) spanning Europe, from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean, alongside associated European and non-European festivals, such as BLON Animacijos ir video žaidimų festivalis (Klaipėda, Lithuania), Stuttgart Festival of Animated Film (ITFS) (Stuttgart, Germany), Kaff Hungary (Kecskemét, Hungary), Viborg Animation Festival (Viborg, Denmark), Melbourne International Animation Festival (Melbourne, Australia), Pixelatl Festival (Guadalajara, Mexico) and SIFFCY FilmFestival (New Delhi, India)
